The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The pie chart illustrate the age of library members among children, adults, young adults, and adults 65 and over, with several loan category in 2016, While at bar chart demostraste total number of loans in 2007 and 2016.

Overall, adults aged 18-64 made the largest proportion of the library members, while adults and children's fiction were the most popular lson categories. The total number of the loan also increased overall during the period, despite some fluctuation.

In 2016, adults aged 18-64 represented 51% of the library members. Children accounted for 22% followed by young adults 13-17 at 15%. The smallest group was adults aged 65 and over, at 12%.

Regarding loans, children fiction and adults fiction were the most borrowed categories, with 38% each. Adults non-fiction represented 13% while children non-fiction accounted for 6%. Young adults and adults audio books each made made up 2 % and children DVD's were the least popular category at only 1%.

The total number of loans rose from about 16000 in 2007 to approximately 21,500 in 2016. It increased steadily until 2011, fell slightly in 2012 and 2013, and then recovered to reach its highest level in 2016.
