The charts below illustrate a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.
Overall, adults aged between 18-64 years were allocated the highest proportion, while those individuals with 65 years and above were given the least share. Additionally, while the total number of loans showed a relatively upward trend over the period, children's fiction and adult's fiction accounted for the highest percentage of loans per category.
Looking at the pie chart, adults aged between 18-64 years were allocated the highest share at 51%, this was followed by children at 22%, and young adults aged 13-17 years at 15% respectively. The adults with 65 years and above received the least share of 12%.
Although the total number of loans from 2007 to 2016 showed a relatively upward trend, the figures rose from just above 15000 in 2007 to around 22000 in 2016. As per the total loans per category, children's fiction and adult's fiction accounted for the highest proportions at 38% each. In comparison, children's DVDs had the least percentage of only 1%.
