IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The mentioned pie chart and bar graph provides data on the age of library members in 2016 and total amount of loan by category and by year between 2007 to 2016 in Little Chatfont Library.

Over all, pie chat shows that the young adults had great contribution of 51% followed by childrens which had a percentage of 22%. Olders adults and young adults had a percentage of 15% and 12% respectively.

On the other hand, both children's fiction and adults fictions had loan amount of 38%, 13% of loan on adult non-fiction, 6% of loan on children's non- fiction, young adults and adults audio books had loan amount of 2% each in addition children's DVD's had 1% of loan price.

In 2007, loan amount was approximately 16000 which goes rise each year and in year 2011 it went to 21000 and eventually it show surge of 22000 by the year 2016.
