Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is severely under-length, containing only 77 words compared to the required minimum of 150 words. Because of this, the student fails to fully present all parts of the task. Although there is an attempt to introduce the charts ('The given charts illustrate the information...') and provide a brief overview ('Overall, most of the members belonged to the middle age group'), the text stops abruptly mid-sentence ('In pie chart, 5'). This incomplete coverage and failure to meet the word count requirement restrict the score for this criterion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The student attempts to structure the response by introducing the charts and providing an overview statement. However, because the text cuts off mid-sentence ('In pie chart, 5'), paragraphing is incomplete and overall progression cannot be fully established. Cohesive devices are minimal, with a run-on error and comma splice in the opening sentence ('...books,However the line graph...'). Due to the extreme brevity and unfinished nature of the text, logical organization is heavily disrupted.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, such as 'information', 'members', 'books', and 'loans'. There are collocation and word choice inaccuracies, such as 'loan takers' instead of 'library users' or 'borrowers', and 'childern' contains a spelling error. The student attempts some descriptive vocabulary ('middle age group', 'highest number'), but the limited output makes it difficult to demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary for the task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The writing contains basic sentence structures, but control is weak. There is a punctuation error and comma splice linking independent clauses ('...and their book loans according to books,However the line graph depicts...'). The spelling of 'childern' is incorrect. Because the text breaks off abruptly at the end, it is difficult to evaluate a wider range of complex structures, and the frequency of errors in such a short sample pulls down the score.
