The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given text depicts the total number of loans([redacted phone]) through bar chart, proportions of library members categorized by age and a table with total loans subivided by type of books, of a library located at Little Chalfont.

Overall, following the marginal fluctuations accross the timeline [redacted phone], the total number of loans recorded a marked increase by the end of the time period. Middle aged adult constituted for the lions share among all the age groups of the library members. Adult and Children fiction category accounted for the highest share among all the books borrowed.

In terms of total number of books borrowed, the figure surged from just above 15000 in 2007 to roughly 18000 in 2008. Followed by a steady strend for two consequent years 2008 and 2009. Through the years after 2010, the total number almost remained above 20,000; registerd approximately 21,500 in 2016.

When looking at proportions of the age of library memmbers and share of genre of the books borrowed in 2016, middle aged addult represents the highest share of 51% among all the members, followed by the children with a share of 22%. Consequently the childrens's and adult fiction accounts for the highest share among all the categories of books, either of them accounting for 38% share, suming up to 76% among all the books, making them the most borrowed category of the library.
