The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The pie chart and table provides information about different age group of library members and its loan category of Little Chalfont Library.
Overall, it evident that adult age of library member shares largest proportion, while adults 65 and over shows minimum proportion. Children and Adult fiction outweighed in loan than other categories. Number of total loans increased throughout the period.
In pie chart, Adult (18-64) dominant sector contributing 51% of total, where children accounted for 22% after adults. Adult 65 and over showed least contribution about 12%, whereas young adults (13-17) showed age of members about 15%.
The given table about loan category in 2016, Children's and Adult fiction both had the highest loan category about 38%, in 2016. Adult non-fiction and children non-fiction accounted at 13% and 6% respectively. Furthermore, Adult Audio books loan category had percentage about 2%, it 2% for young adults and 1% for Children's DVD.
The provided bar graph showed loan numbers rose steadily throughout the period. It was at 16000 in 2007, 18000 in 2008 and 2009, 21000 in 2010, 22000 in 2011, and rose significantly 24000 from 2016
