The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The charts deplicts the information about Little chalfont library in 2016 , showing the age distribution of its members and the proportion of loans made in different categories and total amount of loan from [redacted phone].

Overall , adults aged group 18-64 accounted for the largest proportion of library members , while people aged 65 and over represented the smallest group .In terms of loans , children's fiction and adult fiction were equally the most popular categories , whereas children's DVDs accounted for the lowest percentage.

Adults age from 18-64 made up 51% of all library members , Whuch was more than twice the proportion of children's , at 22% .Young adults aged 13-17 accounted for 15% ,while the remaining 12% were adults aged 65 and over.

Regarding library loans , children's fiction and adult fiction each represented 38 % of the total , making them by far the most commonly borrowed cattegories . Adults non-fiction accounted for 13% , while children's non-fiction made up 6 % .Much smaller proportion were recorded for young -adult books and adult audiobooks , at 2% each .Finally , children's DVDs werethe least frequently borrowed items , accounting for only 1% of all loans.
