IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart illustrates the data about the age of chalfont liberary members while table and bar chart shows the information related to loan taken by different age group in 2016 and overall number of loans from the year 2007 to 2016.

Overall, adults contributed the most and old people accounted for least numbers.

Firstly, adults from the age of 18 to 64 were significant part of the library of having 51%, whereas people from above 65 were at the lowest point . However, children were modast having 22% as young adults from the age group of 13 to 17 accounted for 15% .

Furthermore, table showed loans by category as childrens fiction and adult fiction were most significant for loan in 2016 . In contrast to it adult non-fiction made up of around 13% and children non -fiction was around 6% and least number recorded by childrens DVDs and young adults.

Moreover, in 2007 data recorded to the least point 15,000 which extend in 2008 and reached at 19,000 and remain constant in 2009 which later reached at 21,000 in 2011 and showed little fluctutaion and finally hit to the peak point of 23 thousands.
