The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart, table and bar graph illustrate the information on age of library members, total loan by various category in 2016 and total number of loans in a decade respectively in Little Chalfont Library.
Overall it is noticeable that, adults ranging the age of 18 to 64 were highest among various age groups as a library member. Additionally, highest amount of loan was in the childrern's fiction and adult fiction category and lowest at the children's DVDs section. The number of loans was increasing at first and then declining and again rising in 10 years time span.
In terms of the age group of library members in 2016, adults(16-64) shared highest percentage of membership in the library accounting about half the proportion whereas adults of age group 65 and above were the least percentage in Little Chalfont Library. Similarly, children account for 22% in the library membership. Looking into the details in table, children's fiction and adult fiction accounted for the highest proportion of 38% for both the categories.
Looking into the details in bar, the number of loans sharply rose from 2007 to 2008 reaching about 18,000. The figure kept rising up and falling down until it peaked in 2016 reaching approximately 22,000.
