The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The charts below illustrate the data of a public library situated in a town called Little Chalfont.

Overall, the diagram demonstrates the ages of the members of the library in 2016, the table explains total loans by distinct categories in 2016 and the graph describes the total number of loans from 2007 to 2016.

To begin with the members of different ages of library, the highest number of people in 2016 were adults with the number of 51 whose ages were 18 to 64 followed by children with 22. Also, young adults at the age of 13 to 17 have the figure of 15 and the lowest ones are adults over 65 with 12.

Moreover, in 2016, children's fiction and adult fiction both are the highest categories by loans with 38% followed adult non-fiction at 13%. Additionally, children's non-fiction at 6%, young adults and adults audio books at 2% each and children's DVDs at 1% are the remaining categories at low percentages.

Furthermore, in 2016 there were the most number of loans around 23000 followed by year 2011 and 2015 at approximately 22000. Adding to it, the number was same in 2012 and 2014 at just over 20000. It is considerable that in 2013 it was just under 20000 while in 2008 and 2009 its was same as well at about 18000. Finally, in 2007 there was the lowest at only over 15000.
