The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The charts show information about Little Chalfont Library in 2016, including the age of its members, the types of materials borrowed, and the total number of loans from 2007 to 2016.

Overall, adults aged 18–64 were the largest group of library members, making up 51%. Children were the second-largest group at 22%, followed by young adults aged 13–17 at 15%. People aged 65 and over made up the smallest group, at 12%.

In terms of loans, children’s fiction and adult fiction were the most popular, with 38% each. Adult non-fiction accounted for 13%, while children’s non-fiction made up 6%. Young-adult books and adult audiobooks each represented 2%, and children’s DVDs were the least popular at 1%.

The total number of loans increased from about 16,000 in 2007 to 21,500 in 2016. Although the number fell in 2012 and 2013, it rose steadily afterwards.
