The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The bar chart compares the total number of loans taken every year since 2007, till 2016. The bar chart shows that there is no specific uptrend or downtrend over the years.
The most number of loans taken is in the year 2016 followed by the year 2015. The years in which more than 20,000 loans were taken are 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
The least number of loans recorded in the year 2007 followed by the year 2008. From 2007 to 2016, there was no such year which recorded the total numbers of loans taken less than 15,000.
The pie chart shows the information about the age of the library members in 2016. Breaking down proportions amongst children, Young Adults aged 13-17, Adults aged 18-64 and Adults aged 65 and over. Adults aged 18-64 makes most of the library members followed by Children who makes 22 percent of the library members. Young Adults have the lowest percentage of all.
The table chart shows the the total loans by category of books in the year 2016. Children's fiction and Adult's fiction takes the top spot as they both have the highest and equal percentage recorded. Children's DVDs falls into the lowest category of total loans taken
