Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by attempting to cover the pie chart, table, and bar chart provided. However, the treatment of the data is somewhat mechanical and lacks full development. While main features such as the dominant adult age group (51 percent) and the overall trend of the bar chart are mentioned, some details are vague or inaccurate, such as referring to the 22 percent share as 'space occupied by the childrens'. Key data points are occasionally misreported, and comparisons between the categories are superficial, keeping the content at a partially developed level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The text shows some organisation with an introduction, a basic overview sentence, and separate paragraphs for the visual data. However, there is no clear overall progression or logical flow connecting the different charts. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or repetitively, such as 'On the other side' and 'As we see', which weakens the structural integrity of the response. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is frequently faulty, making the overall arrangement less than fluid.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic information about the charts. There are noticeable lexical errors, awkward word choices, and inappropriate plurals, such as 'childrens' and 'adult's', along with phrasing like 'higher percentage of taking loans' and 'second number in that'. These inaccuracies reflect a restricted range of vocabulary, though the general meaning remains understandable despite the lexical strain.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The student displays a limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple or faulty complex sentences. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('chart shows', 'by pie chart'), incorrect prepositions, and awkward verb tense usage ('total loans by category in the year of 2016 shown in table'). Punctuation is also weak, with run-on constructions like 'Bar chart shows that total number of loans between the year of 2007-2016. As we see there are record number of loan taken in 2016.' These persistent errors cause some difficulty for the reader.
