Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover all three visuals and include relevant figures, with a useful overview identifying adults as the largest membership group and noting that loans generally rose over the period. However, some comparisons are unclear or inaccurate: children account for 22%, while the 12% and 15% figures belong to adults aged 65 and over and young adults respectively, not the order given in your sentence. The loan trend is also described too broadly as “almost increase every year”; it fluctuated, including a fall after 2011 and another rise towards 2016. Your category figures are mostly reported accurately, but the overview and trend description need clearer, more precise development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs covering membership, loans over time, and loan categories. This helps the reader identify the different visuals. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and several links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “In 2013, 2014 and 2015 it were the number” does not clearly explain the figures, while “whereas by 2009 to 2012” joins the years imprecisely. Use one paragraph for the overview and separate, logically ordered paragraphs for the chart details. Connect comparisons directly, and use clear references such as “the total rose” or “this figure then fell” rather than repeating “the number of loans.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “proportion,” “total number of loans,” and category labels, so the main subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning harder to follow. “Adults visiters” is not a suitable description of the membership data, and “the loans proportion” confuses a proportion with a total. There are also spelling errors such as “almsot,” “respestively,” and “Cgildren's,” alongside inconsistent forms such as “fiction” and “ficition.” Learn accurate chart language—“share,” “accounted for,” “loan total,” and “increased”—and check spelling and category names before finishing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including comparisons with “while” and “whereas,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms recur: “The charts illustrates,” “adults was,” and “the total number of loans were” should use matching plural or singular forms. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in phrases such as “the almost 21000” and “it were the number,” which obscure the intended meaning. Capitalisation after sentence breaks is inconsistent, as in “Overall, In.” Practise building accurate comparison sentences with a clear subject and verb, for example, “The total rose to 19,000 in 2008, then remained near 21,000.”
