Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover the three visuals and identify relevant main features: adults aged 18–64 are the largest membership group, fiction accounts for the biggest loan share, and total borrowing rises overall. The category figures are mostly reported accurately, but the age-group figures are misassigned: the chart shows children at 22%, young adults at 15%, adults aged 18–64 at 51%, and those aged 65+ at 12%. Your account of the line graph is also unclear and partly inaccurate: loans were about 19,000 in both 2008 and 2009, then reached around 21,000 in 2011; they did not remain constant in 2009 after rising in 2011. The overview is relevant, but the trend needs a clearer, more accurate summary.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the membership and loan information. This gives the reader a coherent overall arrangement. However, progression within the final paragraph is weakened by contradictory sequencing: you say loans rose to 20,000 in 2011, then remained constant in 2009 and increased in 2009. The connectors “Although” and “Further more” do not clearly express the relationships between the figures, and “While” is awkwardly attached to the preceding clause. Group the graph’s key stages in chronological order and use linking words only where they clarify a genuine contrast or continuation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “members share,” “formed,” “dominated,” and “total loans,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “fromed,” “lons,” “shoed,” and “approximetly.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “highest target” for the peak loan total and “fictions books” for fiction loans. Repetition of “increased” and “represented” limits flexibility. Aim for accurate chart language and check spelling carefully; terms such as “accounted for,” “peaked at,” and “loan categories” would make the description more precise and natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which is followed by” and contrast clauses beginning with “Although.” However, some errors in agreement, tense, articles, and sentence construction reduce accuracy. For example, “The table and pie chart illustrates” needs plural agreement, while “adult aged 18-64 has” does not match the plural group being described. The sentence beginning “Although, after 2011” is not grammatically complete, and “it gradualy go upwaed” has an incorrect verb form. Use past tense consistently for the 2016 data and the historical trend, and check that each contrast clause is attached to a complete main clause.
