Student answer (Band 6.5)
The charts depicts about a public library named Little Chalfont and its visitors members age, loan catagories and total loan amount in 2016.
Overall, it is clear that most of the visitors were adults, followed by children's presence also noticable. The catagory of total loans showed that children's fiction and adult fiction had the highest value ,rather than other catagories. According to the bar chart, the highest amount of loans took in 2016 ,which was around 22000.
In terms of the visitors age, maximum clients were adults(51%),at 18-64 years old.The sceond prominant members were children ,at 22%, whereas young adults showed 15%, those were 13-17 years old.The adults 65 and over had the least number of visitors,at 12%.
Children's fiction and adult fiction catagories took the highest amount of loans ,at 38% compare to other catagories, whilest adult non-fiction placed the sceond highest about 13%.In contrast, children's non-fiction,adult audio book ,young adult and children's DVD's shared a very least loan ,at 6%,2% ,2% and 1% respectively.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You cover all three visuals and identify the main patterns: adults aged 18–64 form the largest membership group, fiction leads the loan categories, and total loans peak in 2016 after a generally high level in later years. The figures you report for the age groups and loan shares are accurate, and the overview gives the reader a useful summary. To make the account more fully developed, describe the loan trend more precisely: loans rose from about 15,700 in 2007 to around 20,600 in 2010, then fluctuated before reaching roughly 21,700 in 2016. The claim that several years were “above 20,000” is inaccurate for 2012, which was about 20,700, but 2013 was below 20,000. Avoid grouping the intervening years as “nearly 20,000” without clarifying their changes.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction and overview are followed by separate paragraphs on membership, loan categories and the time series. This makes the information easy to locate, and transitions such as “In terms of” and “In contrast” help signal comparisons. The organisation is coherent, but progression within the final paragraph is less controlled: the list of years above 20,000 is followed by a broad statement about the other years, without explaining the rise, dip and later recovery. Some linking is also mechanical, particularly repeated use of “at” to introduce figures. For stronger cohesion, group related years and use clearer references to the trend’s stages rather than listing years in isolation.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “prominent,” “categories,” “fiction,” “non-fiction” and “reached the highest amount.” These choices generally communicate the chart information, and the reader can understand your comparisons. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “visitors members age,” “highest amount of loans took,” “shared a very least loan” and “the others years.” Spelling errors in “catagories,” “sceond” and “prominant” also reduce precision. Aim for standard chart language and consistent terms: describe the “age profile of library members,” say loans “peaked” or “stood at” a figure, and refer to “the remaining years.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “children, at 22%, whereas young adults showed 15%” and a time clause beginning “during 2007 to 2016.” The main comparisons remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and make several sentences awkward. For example, “The charts depicts” has subject–verb disagreement, while “most of the visitors were adults, followed by children's presence” has faulty punctuation and an unclear construction. “The amount of loans during 2007 to 2016,it is clearly noticed that” is also an incomplete, poorly formed opening. Work on agreement, articles, sentence boundaries and complete clause structures; for example, use “The charts depict…” and “From 2007 to 2016, the number of loans…”.
