Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover all three visuals and give a relevant overview: adults aged 18–64 form the largest membership group, children’s DVDs have the smallest loan share, and total loans rise overall. The membership and category figures are reported accurately, and the decade’s loan trend is broadly correct. However, the overview could identify the two leading loan categories, which are tied at 38%, and the line-chart account is underdeveloped: it mentions the 2013 dip and a later rise but omits the peak of about 21,700 in 2016 and the fluctuations between years. Also, “rose around 21,000 in 2016” is not quite accurate; the figure is approximately 21,700. More precise selection and comparison would make the report more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the membership/category data and the loan trend. This makes the information easy to follow, and phrases such as “Overall” and “Regarding total number of loans” help signal shifts. The progression is generally logical, though some links are mechanical and the final paragraph compresses several years of data into a single broad trend. The reference in “it shows the upward trend” is also not fully clear because the sentence begins with “Regarding total number of loans.” Use more precise transitions and organise the line-chart details around its start, fluctuations, and end point. This would strengthen cohesion and make comparisons easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounted for,” “category,” and “upward trend,” so the main information is communicated. However, the range and control are uneven, with several awkward or imprecise combinations: “proportion of age of library members,” “library members users,” and “least interested” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Repetition of “total number of loans” and “trend” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate collocations such as “age distribution of library members,” “share of members,” and “least popular loan categories.” More precise vocabulary for chart movement, such as “fluctuated” or “recovered,” would also help describe the changes without relying on general wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually clear. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “adults makes the 51%” should be “adults made up 51%,” while “Young adults and adults … shares” needs a plural verb, “shared.” The opening phrase “The given pie chart demonstrates the proportion of age” is also structurally awkward, and “In 2016.Total number” contains incorrect punctuation and an incomplete sentence after the full stop. Review subject–verb agreement and use complete, well-formed clauses when introducing each visual. Greater accuracy in these patterns, alongside the sentence variety already attempted, would improve control.
