Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You cover all three visuals and give a clear overview: adults aged 18–64 form the largest membership group, fiction leads borrowing, and loans rise overall despite fluctuations. The key figures you report for membership and the equal 38% shares for children’s and adult fiction are accurate. You also identify children’s DVDs as the smallest category and describe the overall loan trend correctly, including the final peak. To make the report more fully developed, include a few intermediate loan figures or clearer comparisons across the decade; the discussion of the trend is less detailed than the membership summary. You could also mention that adult non-fiction accounts for 13%, while the remaining categories are much smaller.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response is organised in a clear sequence: introduction, overview, membership details, borrowing categories, and the decade-long trend. This gives the reader a logical progression through the visuals, and linking phrases such as “Overall,” “followed by,” and “In terms of” help signal relationships. The overview is appropriately separated from the supporting details. Some connections within the final paragraph are less smooth, particularly “in 2012 number were fall slightly but in 2014 they it rose again,” where the phrasing makes the sequence harder to follow. Use clearer transitions and avoid repeating “in” at the start of successive clauses. More explicit comparisons between the category figures would also strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “fluctuations,” “borrowed,” and “annual loans,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are attempts at more precise reporting, such as “made up the smallest portion” and “reached their highest.” However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision: “contributers” should be “contributors,” “equally” is misspelled as “equaly,” and “least prefered” is better expressed as “least popular.” “Figures of annual loans” is also an awkward collocation; “annual loan totals” would be more natural. Aim for accurate spelling and conventional chart-reporting phrases so that your vocabulary supports the otherwise clear comparisons.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, and most relationships between ideas remain understandable. For example, the overview combines several main features, while “Children were the second largest contributors … followed by young adults” attempts a more varied structure. Some grammatical errors persist, however. In “the members of library were from age group,” articles and phrasing are missing; “those had age between 18-64” has an incorrect relative construction. The final sentence also contains agreement and verb-form problems in “number were fall slightly,” as well as the duplicated subject in “they it rose again.” Review articles, relative clauses, subject–verb agreement, and past-tense forms. More accurate control of these patterns would make the complex sentences clearer.
