Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the subject and report several relevant figures, including the 51% share of members aged 18–64 and the 38% shares for children’s and adult fiction. However, the task is only partly covered: the response gives little information about the other loan categories and does not clearly summarise the overall pattern across all three visuals. Some details are inaccurate or unclear: loans were about 15,700 in 2007, not 16,000 exactly, and the decline occurred in 2013, not 2019. The statement that adults aged 65 and over are fewer than young adults also reverses the figures (12% versus 15%). Focus on accurate comparisons and a concise overview rather than adding unsupported comments about readers’ interests or future management.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic structure, with an opening, three body sections signalled by “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Lastly,” and a concluding sentence. These markers help the reader see that different aspects are being discussed. However, progression is not consistently clear: the first paragraph moves between the 2007 figure, a rise to 2016, and a decline without presenting the trend in a clear sequence. “While” introduces an incomplete contrast, and “In the fact” does not connect the following point naturally. The conclusion shifts to recommendations rather than summarising the charts. Group related information by visual and use linking phrases to show comparisons and trends more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, such as “members,” “categories,” “fiction,” and “audio books,” and attempt more descriptive language. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing data. “Inflation” does not describe an increase in loans, “huge” is imprecise for a proportion, and “fantastic” and “fabulous” are subjective rather than suitable for an academic summary. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “afults” and “categorise.” Choose neutral, precise terms for chart reporting and check spelling. Reusing accurate words such as “proportion,” “share,” “rise,” and “decline” would make the comparisons clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “although” and “as compared to,” but control is inconsistent. Several structures are incomplete or awkward: “While there's also a minor decline” is a dependent clause without a main clause, and “In the fact afults are fond of books” does not form a clear grammatical sentence. The opening phrase “in which members are divided in four categories” uses an unclear relative structure, while “adults or 65 over” and “children fiction and adult fiction range is 38%” show problems with prepositions and sentence construction. Punctuation is also uneven, with spaces before commas and inconsistent apostrophe use. Practise complete sentences and accurate comparative patterns.
