Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover the three visual elements and identify key features: adults aged 18–64 form the largest membership group, fiction leads the loan categories, and loans are relatively high near the end of the period. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate. The age figures are percentages, but “rare visitors” and “less visitors” do not clearly describe membership; the 15% young-adult group is also not explicitly reported. Most importantly, the final figure is about 21,700 loans, not “200,000,” and the chart shows 2016 as the highest year, rather than treating 2015 and 2016 as equally highest. The overview is relevant, but the trend and category comparisons need more precise support and development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for membership, loan categories, and annual totals. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the information. Some links and references, however, are awkward or repetitive. For example, “In 2015 and 2016 in these year” repeats the time reference, while “their percentage ranges” leaves the referent unclear. The final paragraph is also very brief and does not explain the overall pattern across 2007–2016. To make the progression clearer, group related comparisons and use precise references such as “the two fiction categories” or “annual loans”; then describe the rise, fluctuations, and end-period peak in a complete paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “age segments,” “loan categories,” “frequently,” and “percentage,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the report less natural: “visiters,” “childer's,” “rare visiters,” and “loan taking categories.” “High frequent” is not an appropriate collocation, and “a lots of numbers of loan” is difficult to interpret. Use standard chart-reporting language such as “members,” “accounted for,” “the largest share,” and “the number of loans.” Check spelling carefully and avoid informal or improvised phrases; more accurate collocations would make your comparisons clearer and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer structures, including “Overall, most of the visiters are the adults” and a sentence comparing the loan categories. However, control is uneven, and some sentence patterns are incomplete or awkward. For example, “the less loan taking categories are … and their percentage ranges is” has problems with sentence construction and subject–verb agreement; “In 2015 and 2016 in these year there are” also has an unclear time phrase and verb form. The final sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and tense. A mix of accurate simple sentences and carefully controlled complex comparisons would improve clarity.
