Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover all three visuals and provide a relevant overview: adults aged 18–64 form the largest membership group, fiction leads the loan categories, and loans fluctuate overall. Most figures are accurately reported, including the 51% membership share and the equal 38% shares for children’s and adult fiction. This meets the task well, with some features developed more fully than others. The main weakness is the loan-chart account: it says loans rose to about 20,000 in 2008, whereas the chart shows about 19,000, and it omits the 2010–2015 movements, including the 2015 figure. Also, the chart covers ten years, not eleven. A more precise account of the intermediate changes would make the summary more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for membership, loan categories, and the trend over time. Sequencing phrases such as “Overall,” “According to,” and “Finally” help readers follow the visuals. However, some linking is mechanical, and the final paragraph’s sequence is not fully clear: “It then increase in 2011” skips the intervening years, while “Then higest level” moves directly to 2016. The repeated use of “while” also makes comparisons feel formulaic. Improve progression by grouping related data and using clearer references—for example, contrast the two largest loan categories with the smaller categories, then describe the rise, dip, and recovery in the time series.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “accounted,” “proportion,” “fluctuated,” and “highest level,” so the main information is generally understandable. There is some range in how you describe shares and changes, but inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations reduce precision: “the rose of loans,” “a steadity rise,” “accountable for highest proportion,” and “made-up to” are not natural in this context. Several misspellings, such as “throghout,” “samllest,” and “slighlty,” also detract from control. Aim for accurate, conventional chart language rather than forcing less familiar expressions: “the number of loans rose,” “a steady increase,” and “accounted for the largest share” would communicate the data more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, and the overview uses a clear contrast with “while.” Most of the intended meaning can be followed, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include the missing article in “had largest share,” the incorrect pattern in “accounted the highest proportion,” and the verb-form problems in “It then increase” and “the bar chart indicating.” Capitalisation and sentence boundaries also need attention: “the charts” and “children” begin sentences in lowercase, and the opening sentence after the overview is not consistently punctuated. Check articles, subject–verb agreement, and finite verb forms when revising. More consistently accurate sentence patterns would make the comparisons easier to read while preserving the range you are attempting.
