The pie chart provide information about the number of age who were members of Chalfont library and table illustrated the percentages of loan category for different types of people in 2016 and the ber chart shows the total amount of loans changed, over a 9-year period shown, starting from 2007.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You cover all three visuals and include a general overview, noting that adults form the largest membership group and that loan totals fluctuate. Several key details, however, are inaccurate or unclear. The table’s largest categories are children’s fiction and adult fiction, both at 38%; you instead say “child fiction and adult non fiction” are equal at 38%, although adult non-fiction is 13%. The final loan total is about 21,700, not 23,000, and the chart shows a rise from 2013 to 2016 after the dip, rather than a clear fall to 19,000 in 2013. The overview also misses the broadly upward trend across the period. Select the main comparisons accurately and distinguish membership figures from percentages.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the membership chart, loan table, and loan trend. Sequencing phrases such as “Looking at” and “Finally” help readers follow the visuals. However, some links are mechanical, and the overview combines unrelated comparisons in a confusing way: “least percentage of over 65 ages people and adult fiction” does not make the relationship between membership and loan categories clear. The final paragraph also reports the trend in sequence without clearly explaining its overall pattern. Use more precise references to each visual and organise comparisons within each paragraph, so the progression is coherent without relying mainly on formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “percentages,” “category,” “fluctuated,” and “increased,” and the reader can generally identify the subjects being described. However, the range and control are limited, with repeated or imprecise expressions such as “number of loan,” “highest in all category,” and “least percentage.” Some word choices make comparisons difficult to interpret, particularly “the maximum library member” and “loan prefered.” Aim for accurate collocations used in chart descriptions, such as “accounted for,” “the largest share,” and “the total number of loans.” Check spelling and word forms as well, including “bar chart,” “children’s fiction,” and “preferred.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “whereas” and “which,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in phrases such as “The pie chart provide” and “adult … was the highest member,” while the sentence beginning “Finally, the number of loan in 2007 rising” lacks a correctly formed main verb. Articles, plurals, and sentence construction also need attention: “22 member” should be plural, and the opening sentence joins several ideas in a way that is difficult to follow. These errors sometimes make the intended comparison unclear. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete verb and clear punctuation.
