Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover all three visuals and identify several important features accurately: adults make up the largest membership group at 51%, fiction accounts for 38% of loans in both the children’s and adult categories, and children’s DVDs are the smallest category at 1%. Your overview also notes the general rise in loans. However, some comparisons are unclear or inaccurate: young adults are not third and adults aged 65 and over fourth in the membership figures; the latter are the smallest group. The trend description is underdeveloped because it omits the fluctuations after the initial rise, including the dip around 2012–13 and subsequent recovery. Include a few key intermediate figures and describe these changes to make the report more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs reporting details. This makes the three visuals easy to identify, and linking expressions such as “overall,” “firstly,” and “furthermore” help signal progression. The organisation is coherent, but some connections are mechanical, and the final paragraph moves between the table and bar chart without clearly separating their details. The overview also combines several comparisons in a long sentence, making the ranking difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and group information by visual or by comparison; for example, report the membership figures together, then the loan categories, and finish with the trend over time. More precise referencing would also improve flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounted for,” “percentage,” and “increased,” so the main information is generally understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “dominant section,” “over aged individuals,” “highest proportion part,” and “the total number of loan.” “Cames on second number” and “gradually rose up” also make the description less precise. Spelling and word-form errors, including “tatal” and “fictions,” further reduce control. Aim for standard data-reporting phrases and check plural forms and spelling. A more precise vocabulary range would help you describe rankings and trends without relying on awkward expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including comparisons with “which accounted for” and a contrast introduced by “meanwhile.” The main message is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors remain in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and verb forms. For example, the opening sentences run together after “library,” and “the highest proportion part was adult” lacks a clear grammatical structure. In “children cames on second number,” the verb form is incorrect, while “in 2016 it reached” needs clearer punctuation and tense framing. Use complete sentences with consistent past-tense reporting, and check articles and singular/plural agreement. These changes would make your varied attempts more accurate and easier to read.
