Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given charts depict the information about a library in a town called Chalfont.
Overall, almost half of the library members are adults aged from 18 to 64. In 2016 the children's fiction and adult fiction were the most dominating among all categories for loans. The total number of loans were highest in 2016.
Considering the pie chart adults members aged 18-64 constitute 51% of the total library members. Children are the second main members of library with percentage of 22% after the adults aged 18-64.Young adults aged 13-17 and Adults aged 65 and over use library very rare with a percentage of 15% and 12% respectively. Children's fiction and Adult fiction are the categories which are mostly loaned with percentage of 38%. Adult non fictions are taken as a loan only 13%.
The graph illustrates the total number of loans each year over 10 years. In 2007 the total number of loans were at their lowest numbered approximately 16000. This gradully increased to its highest value around 21000 in 2011. Then it decreased over years and reached to 19000 in 2013. After that it seemed to rise over years and in next 3 years it reached to its peak numbered approximately 22000.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover all three visuals and give a relevant overview, identifying the dominance of adults aged 18–64, the two leading fiction-loan categories, and the overall high point in 2016. Most figures are accurately reported, including the 51% membership share and the 38% shares for both fiction categories. However, the trend description is not fully precise: loans rise to about 21,000 in 2011, but then fluctuate rather than simply decreasing before recovering; the 2014 and 2015 increases are omitted. The overview also says loans were highest in 2016 without noting that the total remained broadly stable around 19,000–22,000 after 2008. More complete reporting of the fluctuations and other loan categories would make the summary more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on membership and loan categories, and a final paragraph on the decade-long trend. This makes the information easy to follow, and phrases such as “Overall” and “After that” help signal progression. Some linking is mechanical, however, and the final paragraph’s sequence oversimplifies the data by saying loans “decreased over years” before rising, when the figures fluctuate. The long third paragraph also combines membership and loan-category details without a clear transition between the two visuals. Separate those topics more distinctly and use precise comparisons to connect the figures, rather than relying mainly on chronological markers.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “constitute,” “percentage,” “categories,” and “total number of loans,” so the main information is communicated clearly. There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “most dominating” and “reached to its peak,” but these combinations are not natural in this context. “Use library very rare” is also an imprecise way to describe the smaller membership groups; the figures show their proportions, not how often they use the library. Spelling errors such as “gradully” and “fictions” further reduce accuracy. Aim for standard chart language such as “accounted for,” “fluctuated,” and “peaked,” and check word forms and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and more complex forms, including “After that it seemed to rise over years,” and your meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction. For example, “The total number of loans were” should be “The total number of loans was,” and “Children’s fiction and Adult fiction are the categories which are mostly loaned” is awkwardly structured. There are also missing spaces after full stops, as in “18-64.Young adults,” and inconsistent article use in phrases such as “the children's fiction.” To improve control, check agreement with singular subjects such as “number,” and use concise comparative structures when describing chart data.
