Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover all three visuals and identify several important features: adults aged 18–64 form the largest membership group, fiction accounts for the largest loan shares, and loans rise overall across the period. The figures for the age groups and category shares are generally accurate, and the trend description captures the broad pattern. However, the overview says loans increased gradually, which overlooks the fluctuations after 2011; the body later describes these more accurately. There is also a factual inconsistency in calling the 12% group “adults” rather than adults aged 65 and over. To strengthen the report, make the overview more precise by noting the overall rise alongside the mid-period dips, and distinguish the two adult age groups clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and separate discussion of the membership, loan categories and yearly totals. This makes the information easy to locate, and phrases such as “In comparison” and “After that” help signal relationships and sequence. Some linking is mechanical or imprecise, however. “Whereas” does not connect the first two sentences grammatically, and “Considering table total loans” is an unclear transition. The overview also repeats information that is then presented in the body without adding much synthesis. Use complete, connected introductory sentences and organise the overview around the main contrasts and trend, reserving detailed figures for the body paragraphs.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounts for,” “fiction,” and “gradual increase,” and the meaning is generally understandable. However, several spelling errors and awkward or repetitive expressions reduce precision: “Bar grapg,” “tatol,” “proporrtion,” “totaol,” and “tham” are examples. Phrases such as “total loans are taken by” and “library used by children” are also unnatural, while “accounts for” is repeated. Choose standard collocations such as “loans were for” and “children made up,” and proofread carefully for spelling. A wider set of accurate verbs for describing shares and trends would make the report more fluent and precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “Whereas…” and “After that…,” and the main comparisons can usually be understood. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, sentence construction and verb forms. For example, “Whereas, table shows” is not a complete, well-formed connection, and “Then it increase” and “It then decrease” need past-tense verbs. “The proportion of adults library member is 51” also has an unclear noun phrase and missing grammatical elements. Capitalisation after commas is inconsistent, as in “the pie chart, The proportion.” Practise forming complete sentences with accurate past-tense verbs and articles, and check punctuation and sentence boundaries during revision.
