Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover all three visuals and identify the main patterns: adults aged 18–64 form the largest membership group, the two fiction categories each account for 38% of loans, and total loans rise overall despite a dip after 2011. These are relevant, accurate comparisons, and the overview gives the response a clear central message. Some details are less fully reported: the membership figures for children and young adults are omitted, as are the smaller loan-category shares, and the trend description would be stronger with key values such as the 2007 starting point and 2016 total stated more precisely. The response therefore addresses the task well, but not all features are developed equally; more precise supporting figures would make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction to the visuals, an overview, and a paragraph describing the loan categories and trend. This helps the reader follow the main information, and phrases such as “after that” and “in 2016” signal sequence. However, the opening sentence is crowded, and the transition “In the end we the a bar graph” is unclear, weakening the introduction. The final paragraph also combines the table and time-series information without a clear separation, while “where” does not connect the comparison smoothly. Use clearer paragraphing and more precise links between each visual, and ensure references such as “the loan” clearly indicate whether you mean the total number of loans or a category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing charts, including “majority,” “percentage,” “category,” “gradually increased,” and “slightly go down.” This gives you a workable range for the task, and the reader can generally understand the comparisons and trend. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “major share of in loan category,” “loan amount,” and “closes at.” There are also noticeable spelling errors such as “falactuate,” “hihest,” and “gradualy,” which reduce precision. Aim for standard chart language and check spelling carefully; for example, describe the “proportion of loans” and say the total “reached” a figure. More accurate collocations would make the report sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a contrast in “after that loan amount … go down till 2013 and it start growing.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but grammatical control is uneven, and errors occur in basic sentence patterns as well as longer clauses. For example, “The graph illustrate” has subject–verb disagreement, “the majority library members belongs” has problems with articles and agreement, and “the members how are 65 or above 65 is” contains incorrect clause formation and agreement. The opening also includes the incomplete construction “In the end we the a bar graph.” Work on subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete sentence structure, then proofread verb forms such as “went down” and “started growing.”
