Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover all three visuals and identify several important features: adults form the largest membership group, the two fiction categories each account for 38% of loans, and loans were lowest in 2007 before remaining around 19,000–22,000. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear. The overview says 2016 had the highest loan figure, but the chart shows a gradual rise to 21,700 in 2016, only slightly above 2015. You also describe children as the second-largest membership group, although the chart gives 22% for children and 15% for young adults; this is correct, but the later phrase “adults stood at lowest” misidentifies the 12% group, which is adults aged 65 and over. The loan trend and smaller categories need more precise reporting.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs covering membership and loans. This gives the reader a coherent overall arrangement, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “In contrast,” and “Moreover” help signal relationships. However, progression within sentences is sometimes awkward, particularly in “Most of the loans were taken in 2016, whereas almost numbers of loans are quite identical…” The final paragraph combines the trend over ten years with category shares without a clear transition, and “which separate's this years from others” makes the comparison difficult to follow. Group the membership figures together, then describe the loan trend and category breakdown in separate, clearly sequenced sections. Use referencing and connectors to clarify comparisons rather than relying on loosely connected clauses.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounted for,” “categories,” and “recorded,” so the main information is generally understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural: “senior citizens covered the lowest section,” “popular as members,” and “almost numbers of loans are quite identical” do not express the intended comparisons precisely. There are also spelling and form errors, including “higest,” “approximatley,” and “childrens.” Aim for standard chart language such as “accounted for the smallest share,” “made up the second-largest group,” and “loan totals were broadly similar.” More precise vocabulary would make the comparisons clearer and more formal.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including contrast clauses with “whereas” and “whilst,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. Some grammatical errors remain, however. In “children's fiction and adult's fiction was broadly similar,” the plural subject requires “were,” and the category names should not use possessive forms. “Adults covered the major part at 51% while childrens are the second largest users” shifts tense and has an unclear structure; use a consistent past-tense description of the 2016 data. Other problems include missing articles or awkward noun phrases, as in “stood at lowest participants,” and punctuation that joins ideas unclearly. Check subject–verb agreement, tense consistency, and sentence boundaries when revising.
