Overall, the pie chart shows the age of library visiters through out the period while, the bar graph describes the total amount of loans through out the years.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the main subject and report several correct membership figures: adults aged 18–64 are the largest group at 51, while people aged 65 and over are the smallest at 12. You also correctly note that loans were lowest in 2007 and highest in 2016. However, the response only partially covers the charts: it omits the loan-category breakdown entirely and gives no meaningful overview of the membership and borrowing patterns. The statement that the age chart shows visitors “through out the period” is inaccurate, as it presents membership in 2016 only. The loans trend is also too general: it rose overall, with fluctuations, rather than remaining at a similar level throughout. Select the key features from all three visuals and compare them accurately.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to membership figures and then loan totals. This gives the reader a recognisable sequence, and transitions such as “Furthermore” help signal a shift in topic. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the membership details are presented as a series of short, disconnected statements, while the loan paragraph does not explain the trend clearly. Some linking is mechanical or awkward, including “Followed by” and “However, others remain at similar point.” Improve cohesion by grouping related comparisons and using clear references to the chart data. A more informative overview would also give the response a stronger organising thread.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “age groups,” “total amount of loans,” “highest,” and “fluctuation,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or repetitive. “Library visiters” does not accurately describe the chart, which shows members, and “loans that are taken by individuals” is an awkward way to describe borrowing totals. Spelling errors such as “diffrence” and “visitors” misspelled as “visiters” are noticeable, while phrases such as “similar point” lack precision. Use vocabulary that describes data directly, such as “accounted for,” “peaked at,” and “remained relatively stable,” while checking spelling and collocation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main figures can usually be understood. However, sentence control is inconsistent, with several fragments and punctuation problems. For example, “While, adults who are between 18-64. Is at 51” breaks one idea into incomplete sentences, and “Which is highest among the all age groups” is also a fragment. The opening overview uses an unclear construction: “the pie chart shows the age of library visiters through out the period.” There are also errors in articles and sentence boundaries, as in “the least one is 2007 at the number of 15,000.” Build complete sentences around comparisons and check that clauses are joined and punctuated correctly.
