The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The pie charts below illustrate the percentages in meals of three types of nutrients consumed in the USA.

Overall, it is clear that all the nutrients sodium, saturated fat are mostly found in dinner and added sugar found in snacks and then found in lunch in the USA.

Firstly, mostly sodium are found in dinner with 43% and 29% sodium are available in lunch . Moreover, snacks and breakfast contains 14% sodium . Furthermore, 37 % saturated fat discovered in dinner and lunch contains 26% saturated fat . Additionally, 21% identified in snacks and breakfast have 16% saturated fat .

Besides, added sugar chart is opposite then the others because in this chart large amount of added sugar approximately 42% is located in the snacks .In addition , dinner have 23% nutrient and 19% nutrient located in lunch . In the end , breakfast have insufficient amount of added sugar.
