The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The rendered pie charts depict the three types of nutrients in usual meals and it can make the person unhealthy if eaten in excess in USA.

Overall, it was apparent that the amount of sodium and saturated fats was highest in dinner whereas amount of added sugar was highest in snacks.

Turning to the details, the amount of all the nutrients was nearly similar in breakfast at 16%. In lunch, the percentage of sodium was 10% more than that of added sugar(19%) whereas the amount of saturated fat was nearly quarter of the total amount of saturated fats.

Moving further, the snacks comprised of 42% of added sugar which was the highest amongst all other type of meals . The sodium was 7% less than that of saturated fats(21%) in snacks. There were sodium, saturated fats and added sugar in amount of 43%, 37% and 23% respectively in the dinner.
