Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the data but fails to clearly distinguish between the three different nutrients (sodium, saturated fats, and added sugars). The description is confusing, as it often refers to 'nutrients' in a general sense rather than specifying which nutrient corresponds to which percentage. While some data points are mentioned, the lack of clarity regarding the categories makes it difficult for the reader to follow the trends. The overview is also vague and does not effectively highlight the main features or significant differences between the meal types. To improve, you must clearly label the data for each nutrient and ensure the comparisons are accurate and easy to follow.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into short paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'Furthermore' is mechanical and often does not connect ideas logically. For example, the transition 'Movingahead' is misspelled and poorly integrated. Referencing is also unclear; it is often difficult to determine what the percentages refer to due to awkward sentence structures. The paragraphing is present but does not effectively group related information, leading to a disjointed reading experience. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring clear referencing is essential for a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent misuse of terms. Phrases like 'minor dispensary' (likely meant 'discrepancy') and 'Respectably' (likely meant 'respectively') indicate a lack of precision and control over word choice. The phrasing 'from farmer' and 'from latter' is confusing and does not accurately describe the data. There is little evidence of a range of vocabulary suitable for describing charts or trends. To improve, focus on learning specific collocations for data description, such as 'account for', 'represent', 'a significant proportion', and 'the majority of'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are issues with sentence structure, such as 'The maximum percentage was in dinner, while the minimum in breakfast', which lacks a verb in the second clause. Punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., 'Overall,it', 'observed, the'). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are also problematic throughout the text. While there is an attempt at complex structures, they are often faulty and unclear. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for punctuation errors would significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
