Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main contrasts accurately: dinner has the highest shares of sodium and saturated fat, while snacks have the highest added sugar. The figures you give for dinner, snacks and lunch match the chart. Your overview also notes that breakfast values are similar, which is a relevant feature. However, the breakfast comparison is not fully accurate: sodium is 14%, while saturated fat and added sugar are both 16%, so they are close but not all equal. The conclusion that people consume “less nutrients at breakfast” is also too broad; breakfast is lowest for sodium and saturated fat, but not for added sugar. The response covers the task and selects relevant data, but some comparisons need more precise qualification and development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs comparing dinner/snacks and lunch, followed by a conclusion. This makes the main information easy to locate. You also use linking expressions such as “Overall,” “whereas,” and “In contrast” to signal comparisons. However, the final conclusion largely repeats the overview rather than adding a useful comparison, and the breakfast figures are placed in the lunch paragraph, which makes the grouping less logical. Some links are also awkward or unclear, particularly “The amount of saturated fat and added sugar equally constitute … follows by sodium,” where the relationship between the figures is difficult to follow. Grouping the meal comparisons more consistently and using clearer references would improve progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use a suitable range of chart-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “comprises,” “constitute,” and “highest,” and the reader can generally understand the comparisons. There are, however, several inaccurate or unnatural choices that limit precision. “People considerably enjoy to consume more sugar” is conversational and does not describe the chart neutrally; “the share of added sugar is highest” would be more appropriate. “The sodium makes the largest group” is also an imprecise collocation, while “intake” is used awkwardly as a verb in “people intake.” Some repetition of “amount” and “proportion” could be reduced by using terms such as “share” or “percentage.” Aim for natural, formal collocations rather than more elaborate wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You attempt a mix of sentence forms, including comparisons with “whereas” and “than,” and most of the meaning remains clear. Some grammatical errors persist, especially with verb forms and sentence construction. For example, “added sugar is consume” needs a passive form such as “is consumed,” and “closely follows by saturated fat” should be “closely followed by saturated fat” or “is closely followed by.” In “At breakfast, people intake all nutrients at almost equal amount,” the article and singular/plural pattern are not controlled. The sentence beginning “The amount of saturated fat and added sugar equally constitute” also has agreement and structure problems. More consistently accurate clauses and careful checking of verb forms would strengthen the response.
