Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main contrasts accurately: dinner has the highest shares of sodium and saturated fat, while snacks lead for added sugar, and you report the key figures correctly. The overview also notes breakfast’s low contribution, although “consistently ... the lowest” is not fully precise because breakfast and snacks tie for sodium at 14%. The body gives useful detail for all three nutrients, but saturated fat receives less development than sodium and added sugar: its breakfast and snack figures (16% and 21%) are omitted. The response is also two words below the required 150-word minimum. Adding the missing comparison and a little more precise detail would make the coverage more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a summary of the main features, and two body paragraphs grouped by nutrient. This makes the information easy to follow, and phrases such as “Regarding sodium” and “In terms of added sugar” signal the topic changes effectively. The progression is generally logical, but the saturated-fat discussion is brief and does not give the same level of detail as the other sections. Some punctuation is also missing between data points, as in “14 percent A similar pattern,” which weakens the flow. To strengthen cohesion, use consistent punctuation and connect the comparisons more smoothly, while ensuring each nutrient is covered in a balanced way.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a suitable range of chart language, including “proportions,” “accounts for,” “dominant share,” and “constitutes,” and these choices help describe the data clearly. However, noticeable spelling and typing errors reduce accuracy, including “potentally,” “sodiumm,” “highesr,” “Conversly,” and “whike.” There are also repeated words and awkward phrasing, such as “and and” and “hold hold.” These slips make the writing less controlled, even though the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Proofread carefully for spelling and duplication, and aim for precise, natural collocations when describing shares and percentages.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and more developed sentence forms, including the contrast in “Overall, dinner accounts ... whereas snacks contain ...” and the relative clause “where dinner and lunch lead with 37 percent and 26 percent respectively.” Most relationships between the figures are understandable. However, punctuation errors affect sentence boundaries: “14 percent A similar pattern” needs a full stop, and the final percentage sentence also has a misplaced space before its full stop. The opening sentence’s dash is not correctly separated from the following nutrient list. These are some errors in punctuation and sentence control, rather than problems that prevent understanding. Review sentence boundaries and punctuation, then vary structures while keeping them accurate.
