Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the three nutrients and include several relevant figures, such as dinner’s 43% share of sodium and snacks’ 42% share of added sugar. However, the overview is unclear and does not accurately summarise the main patterns: sodium and saturated fat are highest at dinner, while added sugar is highest in snacks. Some comparisons are also incorrect or confusing. For example, you give lunch sodium as 26%, although the chart shows 29%, and the statement that saturated fat in dinner “become decline 6%” does not explain a meaningful comparison. The comments about food being “unhealthy” or causing bacteria are not supported by the chart. Focus on accurately describing the meal shares and their contrasts, without adding explanations the data cannot establish.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, an attempted overview, and separate body paragraphs. You also use linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand.” However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the overview is difficult to interpret, and the body paragraphs shift between nutrients and comparisons without a consistent pattern. Some connectors do not show the relationship between the ideas that follow them, while repeated “To begin with” and “Finally” do little to clarify the data. Organise the report by nutrient or by meal, and use each paragraph to make a clear comparison. This would give the reader a more coherent route through the figures.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “average percentages,” “ratio,” and “dramatically,” and you attempt to describe comparisons. However, vocabulary is often inaccurate or repetitive, and several phrases make the meaning hard to understand. Examples include “high amount unheatly food,” “less unsmell,” “low to eat,” and “proper food.” These expressions do not describe the proportions shown in the charts. There are also spelling errors, including “unheatly” and “grather.” Use precise terms for chart data, such as “proportion,” “accounted for,” and “highest share,” and avoid describing the nutrients as food or making unsupported claims about health effects. More accurate collocations would make your comparisons clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of sentence forms, including an introductory relative clause and sentences beginning with “while” and “as well as.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms often make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “in the Sodium majority of dinner have” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “the Dinner have high level” has agreement and article problems. The sentence “the snack which raising from over three periods” is incomplete, and “the lunch plummet to 19%” uses an incorrect verb form for describing a chart value. Build accurate simple sentences first, then add comparisons using structures such as “whereas” and “compared with.”
