Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You include figures for all three nutrients, and the reported percentages match the chart. However, the response does not provide a clear overview of the main patterns: for example, dinner is the largest source of sodium and saturated fat, while snacks contribute the most added sugar. The final sentence, “The all circle to analysis in sodium in snack,” is unclear and does not identify a meaningful comparison. The opening also repeats the task rather than summarising the data. The response is substantially below the required 150 words, which limits how fully you can select and report key features. To improve, add a concise overview and explain the most important contrasts, rather than listing figures alone.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the information by nutrient: “The first circle” introduces sodium, followed by saturated fat and added sugar. This gives the reader a simple sequence, and the figures are generally grouped with the relevant chart. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure or progression from an overview to supporting details. The opening instructions are confusing, and the final sentence does not connect logically to the preceding information. Linking and reference are also limited, so the list-like presentation feels abrupt. Use separate paragraphs for an overview and the details, and connect comparisons explicitly—for example, contrast dinner’s high sodium share with snacks’ high added-sugar share.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses some relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “nutrients,” “sodium,” “saturated fat,” and “added sugar,” so the topic is recognisable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or spellings make the meaning difficult to follow: “may be sick” does not express that nutrients may be unhealthy in excess, and “The three circle in my explain” is not an effective way to introduce the charts. There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “regeular,” “kindes,” “saturaed,” and “thired.” Build a small bank of accurate chart language, such as “accounted for,” “proportion,” “highest share,” and “compared with,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
You attempt a few basic sentence forms, and the nutrient labels and percentages are often presented in a way that can be understood. However, grammatical control is weak and sentence structures are very limited. For example, “The graph below show” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “The first circle to sodium related in snack 14%” lacks a clear grammatical structure. The opening instruction-like sentence, “Analysis the data by selection and report,” also does not form a correct sentence. Most details are presented as fragments rather than complete sentences, and capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise writing simple complete comparisons, such as “Dinner accounts for 43% of sodium, compared with 14% at breakfast.”
