Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify relevant features, including dinner as the largest share for sodium (43%) and saturated fat (37%), and snacks as the largest source of added sugar (42%). However, the overview that “mostly consumption of nutirent gained by dinner” is too broad: snacks lead for added sugar, so dinner is not highest across all nutrients. There is also a key data error: breakfast sodium is 14%, not 16%; 16% applies to saturated fat and added sugar. The report covers the charts only partially, with limited comparison and little detail about added sugar beyond its snack peak. The response is 136 words, below the required 150, so it needs further relevant reporting to meet the task fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has some organisation: it begins with an introduction, groups sodium and saturated fat together, then turns to added sugar, and ends with an overview. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression is uneven. “Firstly” is followed by a fragment (“the three types of nutrient such as…”), and “Third pie chart” does not clearly connect to the preceding paragraph. The final overview also repeats a general claim rather than bringing the key comparisons together. Use clear paragraphing and linking phrases to show how the three nutrients compare, and make references such as “these figures” explicit. This would make the organisation more coherent and reduce the abrupt transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant terms, including “percentage,” “consumed,” “sodium,” and “saturated fat,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the report less precise: “raito,” “nutirent,” “gain,” and “found inn” are inaccurate or awkward. “Highest ratio of nutrients” is also unclear because the figures represent the share of each nutrient in meals, not a ratio of nutrients. Aim for precise chart language and check spelling, while varying repeated wording such as “percentage” and “found.” More accurate collocations would help communicate comparisons clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response relies mainly on short, simple statements, with little variety in sentence structure. Several sentences are incomplete or difficult to follow, such as “Firstly, the three types of nutrient such as sodium, saturated fat and added sugar” and “In snack 14% sodium and 21% in saturated fat.” There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence construction, as in “The three pie chart illustrates” and “the highest percentage consumed by snacks.” Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, particularly around commas and percentages. These errors sometimes make the relationships between figures unclear. Practise writing complete comparison sentences, for example, “Dinner accounted for 43% of sodium, compared with 37% of saturated fat.”
