Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main patterns accurately: dinner accounts for the largest shares of sodium and saturated fat, while snacks lead for added sugar. The key figures you report—43%, 37%, and 42% respectively—match the charts, and you include comparisons across meals. This gives the response a clear overview and addresses the task. To make the report more complete and precise, develop the comparisons that are currently compressed or unclear. For example, the overview’s “breakfast and lunch have almost 15 and between 19 to 29 percent” does not clearly explain which nutrient or meal the figures refer to. You could also highlight that added sugar is distributed differently, with snacks far ahead of dinner, and compare breakfast’s equal 16% shares for saturated fat and added sugar.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs grouping sodium with saturated fat before discussing added sugar. This sequence is logical, and transitions such as “Looking first” and “Regarding” help guide the reader. The overview also gives the report a useful central direction. However, some links between details are awkward or unclear, particularly the long overview sentence and the saturated-fat comparison ending “while breakfast and snake containe 21 and 16 each.” The reader has to infer which figure belongs to which meal. Use clearer parallel phrasing and explicit references, such as “breakfast accounted for 16%, compared with 21% for snacks.” This would make the progression more consistently easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounting for,” “consumption,” and “pattern,” and the reader can generally understand the comparisons. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. “Nutriments” and “daily cuisine” are not natural choices here; “nutrients” and “typical meals” would be more appropriate. “The most number of Added sugar has contained by snakes” is difficult to interpret, and “snakes” appears to be a misspelling of “snacks.” There are also repeated misspellings such as “diffrent” and “percnet.” Aim for precise chart language—“share,” “accounted for,” and “represented”—and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You make some attempts to combine ideas, using structures such as “while” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent, and several errors make individual statements difficult to read. For example, “it may affects people,s health if they eaten over” has problems with modal verb form and clause construction; “the most number of Added sugar has contained by snakes” is also grammatically unclear. In “dinner has highest number of 37%, followed by lunch with 26,” articles and sentence completion need attention. Practise forming accurate comparisons with a clear subject and verb, for example, “Dinner accounted for 37%, followed by lunch at 26%.” Check punctuation and sentence boundaries as well.
