Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the three nutrients and report several relevant figures, including sodium at 29% for lunch and 43% for dinner, and the matching 16% breakfast shares for saturated fat and added sugar. However, the overview is unclear: saying the meals “was equall” and that each chart totals 100% does not explain the main pattern. The key contrasts are that dinner is highest for sodium and saturated fat, while snacks are highest for added sugar; breakfast is the lowest or joint-lowest in most categories. You also omit the 42% snack figure for added sugar until the final comparison, and some comparisons are difficult to interpret. A clearer overview and more accurate selection of the main features would make the report more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an introduction followed by an overview and detail paragraphs, and it attempts to group information by nutrient. This gives the reader some sense of structure. However, progression is difficult to follow because the overview is vague and the final paragraph moves between saturated fat and sugar without a consistent comparison pattern. Connectors and punctuation are often used mechanically or inaccurately, as in “Although,” and “Moreover;”, while “In the terms of” and “In last” do not clearly signal the relationship between ideas. The closing sentence repeats the point that the charts total 100% rather than synthesising the comparisons. Organise the details in a consistent order and use fewer, more precise linking phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary such as “sodium,” “saturated fat,” “added sugar,” “percentage,” and “consumed,” so the subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, including “the typical meals … was equall,” “lunch obtain 26%,” and “in sweets snack.” Spelling errors such as “trhree,” “Futhernore,” and “hihest” also reduce clarity. Some repetition of “consumed” and “percentage” makes the report less precise. Aim for standard chart-reporting expressions such as “accounted for,” “represented,” and “the largest share,” and check spelling and the natural use of meal and nutrient terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, for example, “Although, In lunch it consumed 29% While 43% was consumed by the dinner.” However, complex constructions are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently. Examples include “the typical meals … was equall,” “breakfast and snack was equall,” and “in the USA.In last,” where agreement and punctuation interfere with smooth reading. Several clauses also lack a clear grammatical subject, as in “in added sugar it was also 100%.” Use straightforward subject–verb patterns, such as “Dinner accounted for 43% of sodium,” and separate complete sentences with appropriate punctuation. More accurate control of these basic structures is needed.
