Student answer (Band 6.0)
A number of individuals have decided to decrease the number of times they fly annually or to stop flying altogether. This is certainly a positive development and I believe environmental benefits of this development outweigh the drawbacks for people and businesses. This essay wil focus on how the environmental development surpass the discomfort it may cause to the businesses and individuals.
By flying less or not flying altogether reduces their carbon footprint into the environment. In that way they are impacting environment lesser than before. Because, the emission from aeroplane affects environment significantly which eventually contributes to climate change and ice melting. Therefore, their initiative may reduce impact from the environment. Additionally, flying less means less consumption of accessories provided by aeroplane companies. In every flight, a substantial amount of accessories such as airbuds, blanket and utensils get used which are manufactured by either taking something from nature or by harmful materials. Hence, less passenger would mean less usage of those which ultimately help to damage less harm to nature. For instance, a 200 seated aeroplane with the passenger of 150 members would use 50 less accessory boxes to serve passengers.
On the other hand, individuals and businesses may face drawbacks while trying to harm environment minimallly. Individuals often need to visit multiple countries or places for business purpose and not visiting for meeting sometimes might backfire and create issues such as they might be percieved as less credible. Circumstances of losing project might also appear. Besides, travelling altogether might be necessary for strategical reason and not visiting together may seen as disrespect towards foreign companies. However, by proper communication and revealing the reason behind less visit or not visiting altogether might solve those issues effectively.
In conclusion, although there are disadvantages of probable issues for individuals and businesses I firmly believe that the advantages of this approach outweigh its disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you believe the environmental gains outweigh the disadvantages. You address both sides, giving relevant environmental points about aviation emissions and the reduced use of onboard items, then discussing possible effects on business relationships and credibility. This covers the task well overall. However, some support is less fully developed: the example of a 200-seat plane and 50 fewer accessory boxes is specific, but its environmental significance is not explained, while the business drawbacks are listed rather than illustrated with a concrete situation. The claim that communication can resolve these problems also needs more explanation. Developing these points and linking them more explicitly to the comparison of benefits and costs would make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining environmental benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion that restates your view. Signposting such as “Additionally,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the main stages of the argument. The progression within paragraphs is generally understandable, but some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Therefore, their initiative may reduce impact from the environment” does not clearly express the intended relationship, and “Hence” introduces a conclusion whose reference is difficult to follow. Improve cohesion by making pronouns and references precise, and by connecting each example directly to the point it supports rather than relying mainly on transition words.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “carbon footprint,” “emission,” “climate change,” “credible,” and “disadvantages,” and you attempt less common expressions such as “strategical reason.” This gives you enough range to discuss the topic, but inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make meaning less clear. For instance, “impacting environment lesser” and “help to damage less harm to nature” are not natural expressions, while “accessories” is imprecise for items such as blankets and utensils. There are also spelling or form errors in “wil,” “percieved,” and “minimally.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling; precision will strengthen the argument more than adding rarer vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “which,” “while,” and “although,” and most ideas remain understandable. However, some sentence structures and grammatical patterns are faulty. The opening of the second paragraph, “By flying less or not flying altogether reduces their carbon footprint,” has an incorrect subject construction; “Because, the emission…” is an incomplete sentence, and “not visiting together may seen” lacks the correct verb form. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and punctuation, such as “the environmental benefits” and the missing space after “businesses.” These issues do not prevent the reader from following the main argument, but they limit accuracy. Practise complete clause structures and check verb forms and sentence boundaries during revision.
