Student answer (Band 5.5)

Number of people decided that either they do not use flight or they decrease the number of flying. In my opinion the drawbacks are more of doing this as compared with advantages because it would affect the businesses and also it would lead to unemployment.

On the positive side, many individuals decided to reduce the number of times they fly in a yearor to stop flying. This will benefical for environment and atmosphere. As, airoplanes plays a major role in air pollution. They need a fule in alot of quantity only of one flight which badly affect environment and air. And the AQI rises every day due to air pollution.

On the negative side, if people reduce flying or stop using airoplanes as a mode of transport than the individuals who travel other states and nations for business work they have to stop it and this would lead to decrease income of the country. Later the economy will decrease and nation woul may face financial crisis and deflation if most businessmans start doing this.

In addition, it may would cause of unemployment in the conutry. Snice, airoplanes provide job to thousands of people in their numerous departnemts and if masses use less this mode of transport than airoplans company owners would fire their employes from job. And people have to suffer form unemployment.

To conclude, the demerits of usinf flight and stop flying althogether are more than its benefits. Because it leads to number of diffiuclties not only for public but also for whole nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that the disadvantages outweigh the environmental benefits, and you identify relevant consequences for businesses, the economy and employment. However, the environmental benefit is only briefly explained, while the disadvantages are asserted rather than supported with specific examples. The claim that business travellers “have to stop” travelling is too absolute, and the effects on national income and unemployment need clearer explanation. The conclusion repeats your position but does not add a developed comparison of the two sides. The response is also 246 words, four words below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop both sides with more precise reasoning and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your position, followed by a paragraph on environmental benefits, two paragraphs on disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the positive side,” “On the negative side,” and “In addition” helps readers follow the main direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the move from reduced business travel to lower national income and then to financial crisis is not fully explained. Some linking is mechanical, and sentence openings such as “As” and “Because” leave dependent clauses without a clear connection to the surrounding sentence. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the cause-and-effect links explicit; clearer referencing would also help connect each consequence to the point before it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “air pollution,” “economy,” “financial crisis,” and “unemployment.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “the number of flying,” “a fule in alot of quantity,” and “provide job to thousands.” There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “airoplanes,” “employes,” and “diffiuclties,” which reduce clarity and control. Aim to learn accurate word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for the environmental impact and for business travel would help you explain your argument without relying on repeated general words such as “people,” “this,” and “decrease.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional reasoning such as “if people reduce flying … this would lead to decrease income.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader pause. For example, “many individuals decided” does not fit the intended general present meaning, “airoplanes plays” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “it may would cause” combines incompatible modal forms. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “As, airoplanes plays…” is not a complete, correctly punctuated sentence, while “Because it leads…” is an incomplete sentence after the conclusion. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them using conditionals and cause-and-effect structures.
