Student answer (Band 5.5)

A few individuals have chosen to reduce the number of times they travel yearly or to completely give up flying together. although limited flights have negative impact on international trades and countrys' ecomony and family relationship. I believe benefits of it are more than its drawbacks because it helps to protect environment and create less air pollutions.

One of the major disadvantages of limited annual flights have negative effect on countrys' economy because a small proportion of the tickets prices goes towards taxes, and government utilize these tax revenue in numerous sectors such as education, healthcare and on public transport. Additionally, if flights are completely stop, then it creates different problems for international trades such as export and import products, and enterprizers owner cannot communicate face-to-face with their business paterns. Moreover, reducing the number of flights may prevent immigrants for meeting their families after a long period of seperations, which can negative effect on their emotional well-being.

Despite these disadvangates there are many advantages of this view are that fewer flights can help to protect the environment , which provide fresher air , peaceful, clam and relaxing atmosphere for human health. Furthermore, reducing the number of flights can decrease air pollution and harmful emissions, which ultimately contributes to cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment. For instance, countries that reduce unnecessary air travel can significantly lower carbon emissions, which helps combat global warming, improve air quality and create a healthier environment for future generations.

To sum up, although fewer flights cannot allow people to travel overseas countries because of carbon emissions and global warming and it contribute the protection of human health. There are numerous negative impact on country's economy and worldwide busiin

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear position in the introduction, stating that the environmental benefits outweigh the drawbacks, and you discuss effects on businesses, the economy, families, and the environment. This addresses the main comparison in the question. However, several points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the link between fewer flights and government revenue is not clearly connected to the scale of the disadvantage, while the environmental case relies heavily on general claims about pollution and health. The conclusion is incomplete and difficult to interpret, ending with “worldwide busiin” and not clearly restating your judgement. Develop fewer points with specific explanation or a relevant example, and ensure the final paragraph directly answers whether the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable introduction, two body paragraphs and a concluding attempt, and the body paragraphs broadly separate disadvantages from advantages. Linking expressions such as “Additionally,” “Moreover,” and “Despite these disadvantages” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is weakened by awkward or unclear connections, including “there are many advantages of this view are that,” and the final paragraph does not bring the argument to a clear close. Some ideas are crowded together, while the environmental paragraph repeats related claims about pollution, emissions and a healthier environment. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each supporting point explicitly to the main comparison, and make the conclusion a complete, concise summary.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “tax revenue,” “international trades,” “emissions,” “carbon emissions,” and “global warming,” which helps communicate the subject. There is also an attempt to vary wording, for example “reduce,” “give up,” and “limited” flights. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “ecomony,” “enterprizers,” “paterns,” and “seperations” are examples. Several combinations are unnatural, such as “air pollutions,” “peaceful, clam and relaxing atmosphere,” and “travel overseas countries.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for weighing environmental gains against economic and personal costs would also make the argument clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if flights are completely stop” and a relative clause in “which ultimately contributes to cleaner…” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include the sentence fragment beginning “although limited flights,” subject–verb disagreement in “disadvantages … have,” and the incorrect passive form “flights are completely stop.” The conclusion also contains a sentence whose structure makes the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise building accurate clauses with clear subjects and verbs, especially when using although, if, and which. Check agreement and verb forms, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
