Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response gives a personal view that flying should not be reduced, and it offers a relevant reason: flying has helped you learn about other countries and cultures and enjoy different food. However, it does not address the central comparison between environmental benefits and disadvantages for individuals and businesses. The opening mentions business trips, but does not explain their value or weigh it against environmental harm; the environmental point is also unclear. The response is largely underdeveloped and only minimally answers the question. It is also substantially below the required 250 words, leaving no room to explain the position, develop supporting reasons, or give a relevant example. To improve, state clearly which side outweighs the other and support that judgement with specific consequences for both the environment and people or businesses.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0

There is a basic attempt to connect the topic to a personal experience, moving from business travel to your view and then to learning about other cultures. However, these points are joined in one long, unpunctuated sentence, so the reader cannot easily distinguish the main claim, supporting reasons, and conclusion. The relationship between “the environment is very peace and sound great” and the claim that flying should not be reduced is especially unclear. There are no paragraphs or clear transitions to guide the argument. Organise the response into an introduction, separate paragraphs for environmental effects and individual or business disadvantages, and a conclusion. Use linking phrases to show contrast and cause, rather than placing several ideas together without clear connections.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses a small set of relevant topic words, including “flying,” “business trip,” “environment,” “cultures,” and “food,” so the general subject is identifiable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and often imprecise, which makes some ideas difficult to understand. For example, “the enviroment is very peace and sound great” does not clearly describe an environmental benefit or harm, while “we take flying too much” is not a natural way to express the idea. Spelling errors such as “everyyear,” “enviroment,” and “experenice” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for this topic, such as “carbon emissions,” “air travel,” “business travel,” and “reduce the environmental impact,” and check spelling and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to express several connected ideas, but it relies on one extended sentence and shows limited control of sentence boundaries and basic structures. For example, “some people flying everyyear go to on a businesses trip” has an unclear subject and incorrect verb pattern, while “they are enjoy the trip” uses an incorrect verb form. The sequence “i think we take flying too much for the business but my experenice is very good” also needs clearer clause structure and punctuation. Capital letters and full stops are largely absent. Practise forming accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with conjunctions such as “because” and “although.” Check subject–verb patterns, articles, and verb forms, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
