Student answer (Band 5.0)
Over recent years, reducing flights has become a hotly debated issue. Many individuals have decreased their number of flights due to environmental benefits. I strongly believe that flights have harmful effect on the environment, but they have more advantages. In this essay, I will elaborate on why flights are imoptant and present evidence in support of my opinion.
On the one hand, one of the aspects that individuals often talk about is business. People did not not trevel for business deals. Moreover, many airline companies are facing financial crisis and loss in business. For instance, PIA airline company has sold out, because it was in debat. Furthermore, reducing number of flights have nagtive impacts on trade.
On the other hand, fights are affecting our environment by air pollution and consuming oil. Several studies have proved taht the gasses like carbondioxide rleases from plains. For instance, a plan flyes from one country and land in another country, it consumes thousends of litres fule. There are few disadvantages of flights , but they have more benefits.
From my perspective, flights outweigh the disadvantages of environment. We can solve problem of air pollution by planting trees, but we can not fulfil the loss of business. So, we should not reduce imortant flights due to this reason.
To sum up, flights have impacts on environment and fule, I strongly believe that taking flights for imortant meatings and for work purpose are nucessary. Filghts also improve our business by transporting shipments. So, we can not left fights.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that the disadvantages of reducing flights outweigh the environmental benefits, and you mention relevant areas such as business, trade, pollution and fuel use. However, the response only partially develops the question: the opening says flights have “more advantages,” while the conclusion refers to “important meetings” and work, without fully weighing the environmental gains against the effects on individuals and businesses. The business points are also unclear—for example, “People did not not trevel for business deals” does not explain how fewer flights affect business travel. Develop a few relevant reasons with specific explanations or examples, and make the comparison between environmental benefits and disadvantages explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help readers identify the sections. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from business travel to an airline’s financial situation and then trade, without explaining the links. The environmental paragraph also ends by asserting that flights have more benefits, although it has just described their environmental costs. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports. Avoid relying on formulaic transitions as a substitute for logical links between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “environmental benefits,” “air pollution,” “carbon dioxide,” “trade,” and “transporting shipments.” This gives the response a basic range for discussing the issue. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and frequent spelling errors make parts harder to understand: examples include “imortant,” “deb at,” “fule,” and “Filghts.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “loss of business” and “flights outweigh the disadvantages of environment.” Choose more precise collocations, such as “harm the environment” or “reduce business travel,” and check spelling carefully. A wider range of accurate terms for emissions, travel needs and economic effects would help express your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including “I strongly believe that…” and “We can solve problem of air pollution by planting trees, but we can not fulfil the loss of business.” However, the range remains limited, and frequent errors in sentence construction and grammar sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “reducing number of flights have” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “a plan flyes from one country and land in another country” has errors in verb forms and agreement. The sentence “People did not not trevel for business deals” is also structurally unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their grammar.
