Student answer (Band 6.5)
In recent years, many people have chosen a less travel and stop flying completely forgot environmental concerns. I believe that environmental benefits of this trends outweigh the drawbacks for individual and buisnessman.
The biggest advantage is that it helps the environment. Airplanes make a lot of CO2 and this causes climate change. If people fly less, there will be less pollution in the air. This is good for our health and for the planet. For example, during COVID-19 many flights stopped and the air in many cities became cleaner. So reducing flights can really make a difference to global warming.
However, there are also some disadvantages For individuals, it is difficult to visit family in other countries or go on holiday abroad. It takes more time and money to travel by train or ship. For businesses, it is also a big problem. The tourism industry and airlines will lose money. Many companies need to fly for meetings with clients in other countries. If they cannot fly, business will be slow compared to past and some people may lose their jobs.
In conclusion, although flying less causes problems for travel and business, I believe the environmental benefits are more important. Governments should support other types of transport like trains to help both the environment and the economy apart from that it also help to reduce pollution due to that medical health and conditions ratio will decrease where it help brief fall of health ratio also decreased from that it helped to increase the population of developed countries

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. Your position is clear from the introduction and maintained throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the environmental argument is well-supported with the COVID-19 example, the discussion on the disadvantages is a bit brief. Additionally, the conclusion introduces new, somewhat confusing ideas about 'medical health' and 'population of developed countries' that are not clearly linked to the main argument. To improve, ensure that your conclusion only summarises your main points rather than introducing new, underdeveloped concepts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'For example' to link ideas. However, the flow within the final paragraph is problematic; the transition from discussing government support for trains to 'medical health' and 'population' is abrupt and lacks logical connection. The use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence flows naturally into the next without sudden shifts in topic.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to express your ideas, such as 'environmental concerns', 'global warming', and 'tourism industry'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and minor errors, such as 'a less travel' (should be 'less travel') and 'buisnessman' (should be 'businesses'). Some phrasing is repetitive, and the vocabulary used in the final paragraph is imprecise, making the meaning difficult to follow. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensure you are using the correct word forms for the context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'stop flying completely forgot' (should be 'to forget' or 'because of'), 'this trends' (should be 'these trends'), and 'medical health and conditions ratio will decrease'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with missing commas and run-on sentences in the conclusion. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and sentence boundaries. Try to proofread your work to catch these small but frequent errors.
