Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, some individuals have decided to mitigate the number of times they fly every year or they should stop flying by flight. The demerits surpass the merits. My stance is discuss further with relavant examples.
To begin with, reduce times of fly or prevent travel through the flight is cause many obstacles for businessmen. To elaborate this, they can not attend an important meeting at convenient time as well as lost their company shares by delay in employment. For example, Indian companies widely use their own private jates for dealing regarding to products. As a result, it might be possible to impact on country economy. Additionally, people or students often visit other country for their education or work by airlines. Also, it is affects the business of import and export.
However, there are some benefits too which helpful for environment. Stop flying save the fuel used in plane as well as reduce chance of accident of flight crash. Due to this, it can be prevent air pollution as well as saves life of animals, while less travelling might be protect individuals from coincidence. For instance, airoplane has several fans and engines that harful for birds which flying over the sky. Therefore, it can be impact on those kind of disease. Furthermore, people can also shrink pollution by use of electrical vehicles.
To conclude, i think the drawbacks are more than benefits because stop airline service can impact on numerous business as well as in education, while it also prevent air pollution and accidents.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for business and individuals. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding business impact and environmental protection are presented but lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the mention of 'Indian companies' and 'private jates' is vague and does not clearly illustrate the economic impact. The position is stated in the introduction, but the conclusion is somewhat contradictory, as it summarizes both sides without clearly reinforcing the initial stance that the demerits outweigh the merits. To improve, ensure each paragraph provides a clear, logical progression of thought with more detailed supporting evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To elaborate this' and 'Due to this' are used, but the logical flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed. For example, the transition from discussing business to the environmental impact is abrupt. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the sentence 'Therefore, it can be impact on those kind of disease,' which lacks a clear antecedent. Improving the variety and precision of linking words would significantly enhance the overall flow and coherence of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'mitigate the number of times they fly' (instead of 'reduce'), 'prevent travel through the flight' (instead of 'avoid air travel'), and 'private jates' (spelling error for 'jets'). The range of vocabulary is limited, and the student relies on basic terms. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, and ensure that words are used in their correct context to avoid confusion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it is affects'), incorrect verb forms ('reduce times of fly'), and missing articles or prepositions ('impact on country economy'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic errors such as verb tense consistency and article usage would be a beneficial next step for the student.
