Student answer (Band 6.5)

International travel has gain rapid development due to increased number of available flights as well as easy access and cheap ticket fares. In spite of these facilities, some people have decided to reduce or complete completely stop travelling via flights so as to improve eco-system. While such decision does have certain benefits to enviornment, the disadvantages outweigh them compromising personal and business growth. The resons will be discussed in this eassy.

To begin with, commuting across the globe offer numerous merits to on individual and to the businesses. Firstly, international travel prompts tourism, thus it enhances nation's economic growth. Secondly, due to foreign migration, students and employees can grab opportunities which will lead them to successful career. For instance, huge number of young people are shifting to different foreign countries in order to earn more money and achieve massive sucess. In addition to this, person's desire of exploration will get satisfied after flying to different parts of world. Furthermore, owing to this, an individual can have insight into different cultures and traditions, thus, it provides wide spectrum of advantages.

Although international trips have numerous benefits , it certainly does have a few negative effects such as increased travel sometimes result in overcrowding of a place. Due to this the atmosphere and the heritage of certain historical sites go destroy. Also, increase number of population hampers the tidiness of a place and sometimes it might cause pollution.

In my opinion, the merits of foreign travel outweigh the environmental drawbacks as the impacts growth and sucess, however the latter can be eliminated by regulating some policies. To conclude, international travel across different countries should be increased and encouraged with certain rules to follow in order to maintain clear environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that the disadvantages of reducing air travel outweigh the environmental benefits. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention economic growth and personal exploration, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, the mention of 'huge number of young people' is vague. To reach a higher band, you should expand on how specific business sectors or individual life outcomes are directly impacted by the reduction of flights, rather than listing general benefits. The conclusion is clear, but the overall argument would benefit from more nuanced analysis of the environmental trade-offs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In addition to this' to link ideas. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally repetitive. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt. To improve, try to use more sophisticated linking phrases that show a deeper relationship between the environmental impact and the economic arguments, rather than relying on simple listing transitions. Paragraphing is used appropriately throughout the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'international travel', 'economic growth', and 'heritage'. However, there are several spelling errors ('enviornment', 'resons', 'eassy', 'sucess') and some awkward collocations ('gain rapid development', 'go destroy'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the score. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic terms and try to incorporate more precise, topic-specific vocabulary related to environmental sustainability and global economics to show a wider range of lexical control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the nation's economic growth', 'an individual'), subject-verb agreement ('commuting... offer'), and word forms ('increase number of population'). Some sentences are slightly clunky, such as 'the impacts growth and sucess'. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to keep the score in the 6.0 range. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
