Student answer (Band 6.0)
It can be seen that people are thinking to lessen their travel by air in yearly or to stop flying altogather. It can truely benefits them both individually and in business too. In my opinion ,its environmental benefits can outweighed the disadvantages at some extent.
This development have several advantages to the environment. The primary advantage is that it can reduce the cost of travel. When a person travel yearly or travel altogather ,there are chances of great expense. For example, when wetravel with family the expense of travelling would be double as compared to individual. Therefore, some people likes to travel alone.
Additionally, the other advantage is the focuse on the work. When a person reduce in travelling, they can focus properly on their work .One who has other persons to work in the absence may ignore their work and can result of loss in business. This reduction of travelling can also contributes to environment. One of the main reason of the air pollution is the carbon dioxide produced by air travel. When there is less of travel, there would be reduce production of thee gases. For example, during Covid-19 many flights were banned ,there were noticeably drop in these in emissions.
However, the disadvantages of less travel is the less opportunities to explosure the world. And it can feel like a smaller place to live. There are less chances of travel with families ,hence, less entertainment for live.
To sum up this discussion, i believe that travelling by air can be advantages in some ways and also have some disadvantages in other term.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the environmental benefits versus the disadvantages of reduced air travel. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. The argument regarding 'cost of travel' is not directly relevant to the environmental focus of the prompt, and the point about 'focus on work' is underdeveloped and slightly confusing. While the environmental argument is supported by the example of Covid-19, the disadvantages section is very brief and lacks sufficient depth. To improve, ensure that every point made directly supports the core question and provide more detailed explanations for the disadvantages to create a more balanced and comprehensive response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'In my opinion ,its environmental benefits can outweighed the disadvantages at some extent.' The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition between cost, work focus, and environmental impact feels abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words that connect ideas more naturally rather than relying on simple transitions.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'less opportunities to explosure the world' (exposure) and 'noticeably drop in these in emissions'. The spelling errors, such as 'altogather' and 'truely', also detract from the overall quality. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form and context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('This development have', 'some people likes'), incorrect verb forms ('can outweighed', 'can contributes'), and punctuation errors, particularly with spacing around commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of these errors limits the score. Focusing on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and consistent verb tense usage will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
