Student answer (Band 6.0)
The people are decided to reduce the amount of travel through flight or decline to fly altogether because they might think it will reduce the cause of environmental pollution. But for businesses the may have huge loss in profit whether the people are stopped travel through flight. I will describe the both side of advantage for environment and disadvantage for individuals and businesses.
To begin with, the environmental benefit of reducing flight travel causes that limit the usage of flights and that will be increase the amount of birds migration. Because the birds met the accidents by falling into the flight engine turbine. In the recent research the birds reduce the migration and they relocated their migration from their usual departure point. And another advantage is fuel consumption, for every trip it takes tons of fuel and the remaining fuels are wasted because they will not mix with old and new fuel and that face a disaster while the mixing of fuel.
After that, the biggest disadvantage for businesses is huge loss of no or minimal number of passengers for a single trip. because the fuel cost and the flight was designed to take atleast 100 to 200 people wants to travel in the single trip. if the passenger are below 100 the flight will face the problem while take off and landing without the actual w

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. The essay is incomplete, ending abruptly in the second body paragraph. While you identify both environmental benefits and business disadvantages, the arguments are under-developed and lack sufficient supporting evidence or examples. The position is clear, but the lack of a conclusion and the unfinished nature of the final paragraph mean that the task is only partially addressed. To improve, ensure you fully develop each point with clear explanations and examples, and always include a concluding summary to round off your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with' and 'After that' to signal transitions, but the flow is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is cut off, which disrupts the logical progression of the argument. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the link between fuel mixing and environmental disaster is confusingly explained. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by well-structured supporting points that lead to a logical conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'the people are decided' instead of 'people have decided' and 'birds met the accidents' instead of 'birds are involved in collisions'. Some terms are used incorrectly, such as 'relocated their migration', which does not accurately convey the intended meaning. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary rather than relying on basic, repetitive structures.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with verb tense consistency, such as 'the flight will face the problem while take off', and incorrect sentence structures, such as 'the birds reduce the migration'. The use of articles and prepositions is also inconsistent throughout the text. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often faulty or lack the necessary grammatical control. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex structures.
