Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people have decided to reduce the number of times they fly every year or to stop flying completely. They believe this can help protect the environment. In my opinion, the environment benefits are change greater than the disadvantage are individuals and business.
Firstly, air travel produce a large number of carbon dioxide, which is one main point on climate change. If most people fly in air, greenhouses gas will be decreased. People use cleaner form of transport, such as trains or buses, for short distance travel. As a result, the environment will become healthier for future generations. Secondly, many business now use video meeting for the business trip. This save both time and money by reducing pollution. This supports for local business and their creature in own country.
However, their are some disadvantages.Airlines, hotels and travel companies have lose customer, which can low profits. Some people works in tourism company, which can loss of profits.International business and local job are work in tourism company, because they have loss money and reduce profits. Despite these problems, L believe that environment that long term benefits. They can also improve public transport so that people had many benefit option.
In conclusion, reducing air travel may create some chenelleges for business and individuals,so they are recommending for other business. Therefore, I believe the environmental benefits clearly outweigh the disadvantages and this a positive development in our society. Most people depend on the advantages and don't independent on the environmental factors. This is a save factor and these factor for business, individuals etc.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the environmental benefits and the economic disadvantages of reducing air travel. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While you clearly state your position in the introduction and conclusion, the supporting arguments in the body paragraphs lack depth and specific examples. For instance, the mention of 'local business and their creature' is unclear and underdeveloped. To improve, ensure that each point is fully explained with logical reasoning and concrete evidence rather than just stating the impact. The conclusion also introduces some confusing phrasing that obscures your final argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'However', and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the logical flow within paragraphs is sometimes disrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear referencing. For example, in the third paragraph, the connection between 'International business' and 'local job' is disjointed, making it difficult to follow your argument. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one without ambiguity.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms and occasionally use words incorrectly, such as 'creature' instead of 'creativity' or 'innovation', and 'chenelleges' (spelling error). There is also some repetition of words like 'business', 'profits', and 'environment'. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and synonyms. For example, instead of repeating 'reduce profits', you could use 'diminish financial returns' or 'suffer economic losses'. Expanding your range will help you express your ideas more naturally and effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'air travel produce', 'Some people works'), article usage, and word order. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or lack proper punctuation, such as 'This is a save factor and these factor for business, individuals etc.' which is grammatically incoherent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and proofreading for minor errors that distract from your message.
