Student answer (Band 7.0)
It has been decided by a few people to use less air travel or stop to flying. Although this can have negative consequences for individuals and businesses, I believe it is a positive development because it helps protect the environment.
On the one side, this trend is beneficial to reduce carbon emissions. As air travel produces more harmful gases into the atmosphere, so fewer flights help reduce air pollution and slow climate change. Moreover, less flights reduces not only Noise pollution but also to save fuel consumption, which helps to conserve natural resources and protect ecosystems.
On the other hand, this concept reduces convenience. As by using air tourism, individuals get opportunity to explore new places, get cultural experiences and to visit relatives, consequently, they may miss the chances to explore new destinations, and experiences.
Likewise, for business point of view, less air travelling impacts negatively on airlines and hotels. These sectors may lose their customers and income, when people stop traveling more often. There are many airlines and hotels, depends on travelers for generating income, providing jobs to people, may lose their business. Furthermore, this could have hinder international business relationships. As in several nations, successful businessman travel to one and another nation to build new relations with clients, expand their companies, and to maintain international import and export. However, less travelling may reduce this growth.
To conclude, despite of a few drawbacks on individuals and businesses, in my opinion, the advantages on eco-system overweigh as it protects environment from getting polluted.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, covering both the positive impact on the environment and the negative consequences for individuals and businesses. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding business relationships is a good point but could be further extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis. The conclusion effectively summarizes the stance. Overall, the response is well-focused, though it would benefit from more detailed elaboration to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one side', 'On the other hand', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore' are used to guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical, and some transitions feel repetitive. Referencing is generally clear, but the paragraphing could be improved by ensuring that the transition between the individual and business disadvantages is more seamless. Overall, the progression of ideas is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary such as 'carbon emissions', 'air pollution', 'conserve natural resources', and 'international business relationships'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'stop to flying' (should be 'stop flying') and 'air tourism' (which is not the standard term for general air travel). The range is sufficient to communicate the message, but more precise and varied vocabulary would enhance the quality of the writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'less flights reduces' (subject-verb agreement), 'despite of' (incorrect preposition), and 'depends on travelers' (fragmented structure). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that hinder the natural flow of the sentences. To improve, the student should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and verb forms after certain expressions.
